compromise
Tom has banned me from using "Whohoo!" as part of my vocabulary, but in return he has to get rid of his horrible posture. I've had enough friends with back problems as it is, and no offence, but their complaints about back pains is reaally annoying after a while. Also if Tom has one less thing to complain about, the world will be a much happier place next year... atleast untill he finds something new to complain about -.-

Christmas calender
On wednesday, me and Nic decided to order ukuleles. I've been a bit envius (envyus, envas.. whatever) of Lilly's awesomness for a while now, so we bought our own on tha intarwebz. On the sleepover last night ( we had originally decided to sleep in Potato's room, but it was closed, so we slept in the hallway instead) Andy told me there was a green note for me in the hall office ( in other words, a package. That was...godamned fast, I thought, thinking that the ukuleles were here, but oh well, I'm not going to complain. But when Nic and I went down to the hall office a few minutes ago, we quickly understood that there were no ukuleles there. All the packages were to small. I got my package and opened it; mom had sent me a chocolate christmas calender! I had to laugh, my mom's really just the sweetest.

I iz not well
To think that such a small part of your body as your throat can make you feel so bad. I'd much like to chop the entire thing off. But then I wouldn't be able to breathe, or controll my limbs, and I don't really think anything good could come out of that solution. Hrmff
Nic came up yesterday and gave me some hoogah boogah magic potion that tasted awfull and didn't really work... strangely I now find myself asking for more. Just anything to get rid of this goddamned cold

Bus -.-
Ah, the joys of translating your own blog-posts because you are caught inbetween language barriers. ... It's nonexistant.
Still, I did bring this upon myself so, here's the translation to a post I submitted...two.. days ago..? I'm really not quite sure.
As I moved to Wheatley, which is about 5 km or so from Gipsy lane where all my lectures are, I would naturally be needing a buspass, an as this was something we had to apply to ourselves upon comming here, there would be some waiting while the application was being processed and, you know, the card was being made. In the meantime, we were given a lovely little blue cardboard note on which we were to write our name. The note reads:
Brookesbus
Temporary pass
(name)
Aaand that's it.
Now the real cards are done and when I was about to board the bus about ten minutes ago, I discovered that for the first time, I had managed to lose it. "Big deal, I'll just go grab the new one" - I thought and strolled over to the place where I was supposed to pick it up. In the meantime, I missed the bus.
Damnit.
Oh well, it is because of situations like this that I leave for school about half an hour earlier than I actually have to; So that I have time to get lost or miss the bus.
A ny way.
I calmly sit down and wait for the next one ( which is supposed to be here in about 20 min), but here it is. I guess the other one was late and that this is the bus I was supposed to take. I don't really care. As long as the bus is here, I'm not complaining.
I get on the bus and show the busdriver the new card.
"No."
"No?"
"No."
"...what? Why not?"
"You just can't"
Turns out, they don't start using the new cards untill the 31st. In other words sunday. Obviously when British people set a date like that, they are too narrowminded to make exceptions even though the card I'm showing him has no less authority than the cardboard one.
So really, riddle me this, I can use a little blue papernote that only says my name and that can be used by any random bloke claiming they are me, and which any person who is not completly lost in the ways of photoshop (or ms paint for that matter) can duplicate. But I cannot use a hardplast, magnetstriped card that shows both my name, picture and studentnumber. And which, apart from the fact that it can also log in that custumer nr. thisandthat took this bus on that time, has exactly the same function as the other card; which is to show the busdriver that I have already paid to take this goddamned bus!
Geez!
But oh no, I have to pay. I really don't have a problem with paying, what is bothering me is a matter of princip. I mean, if it was a matter of changing between two season cards, then I would have gotten it. But when it's a matter of changing between a temporary solution to the real deal, then it's just silly.
Oh well~

A sneakpeak into my life at the moment
I would like to inform you all, that the most boring thing you could possibly do here on campus, is to do your laundry... as the washing machine takes about 40 minutes and a dryer takes 50 minutes and taking in the fact that you for quite logical reasons can't just put them on at the same time and be on your way. ( The clothes should take their turn through both machines before you can put them back into your closet) Besides, we've been told to stay in the laundry room while the machines are running... of course no one really does this, except for me and Cathrine...
So, to the point. What I did today while I waited for dryer nr.2 (Gha! Two hour's wait to dry one basket with clothes!!!)
I edited my phonelist.
-.-
As some of you may recall, my dearly beloved cellphone died this spring after having survived 6 long years in my service ( which is actually quite impressing) and I had to put all my contacts over on the sim-card for then to put that into the sweet little cellphone which was so oldschool it looked like it came from another world. This little white wonder managed to put my entire contactlist upside down, and thereby, after having almost literary bored myself to death, my new Waiting-for-that-god-damned-washingmachine- hobby became fixing my contactlist. Which is, by the way, full of first names to which I have no idea of the last names and thereby no clue to what can be their real identity, as well as a bunch of names I don't remember and/or don't have any interest whatsofrigginever of having in my contactlist in the first place.
Oh well, I've managed to get al the way down to M now, the last number I edited the right way being Maren Aadna. I'm actually quite proud of myself, thinking about how many people I had registered on A and E... >.<
The word of today is ( wow, shocker)

Firsties
So, I've had a blog for quite some time, and decided that upon moving to Oxford, I wanted to start blogging in norwegian instead of english, like I had been doing before. Unfortunately I hit that bump I knew would come, and by the demand of Sam ( awesome girl who lives on the other side of our magical narnia bathroom), I will now have a blog in english as well.
For all of you norwegians who follow my other blog, it won't be any need to follow this one, as it will pretty much just be a translation of the other one.
By the way, I'm going to have a "word of the day", or rather, "word of the post", as I most likely won't blog every day (who does that?).
A-ny-way. Word of the day:
Soap - Såpe
That's it for me,
See ya!
